Guests in apt. 702 and 610 may rent wifi in the lobby, euro 15/week. Or log on to a local hotspot from the apartment such as Neuf.

The apartment is in a 3-star apartment building right on the beach, designed in the traditional style of the big hotels here in Cannes. It has a vast reception area opening onto lovely gardens with a beautiful circular swimming pool, which has a central island.

Nearby is the village of Mandelieu, which has an excellent golf course and 8 kilometres of fine sandy beach ending at the foot of the Esterel hills. In the other direction is Cannes itself and all its magic. The International Film Festival is held here in April or May and in August there is a huge firework festival. Other events include a Battle of Flowers parade and several Gastronomic weeks.

The Boulevard du Midi which is a lovely beach front boulevard runs in front of the apartment building and is a popular pedestrian street with palms, beautiful flower beds and restaurants.

In the hills behind Cannes is the elegant old town of Grasse, famous for its perfumes and essences and surrounded by mimosas and the fields of roses and other flowers, which go into making them. Mougins is one of several traditional Provencal villages with some excellent restaurants.

The Apartment has two rooms and a large balcony with wonderful views of the beach and the Mediterranean and of the pool and gardens, where you can sit and watch the sun set over the Esterel Mountains.

It has an open plan living room with convertible sofa beds and a kitchen and dining area, equipped with a 4 ring stove, an oven and fridge. There is also a double bedroom and a bathroom. The satellite colour television has English, French, German and Italian channels.

There is underground video security parking as an optional extra and access to the beach through a short pedestrian tunnel and red/green light passenger crossing. It is however recommended that children should be accompanied by adults when passing the beach road.

Location:

Located at the seaside and near the market place, Cannes-le-Village, this building ist constructed in accordance with the traditional palace style of the grand hotels of Cannes.

Your residence:

The residence faces the sea, just apx. 50 metres to an excellent sand beach but you have to walk out through the east main entrance and under a road tunnel towards south so the practical walking distance is apx. 200 metres.

Apt. 610 at 6th floor:
A 2 room apartment for 4 persons, 30 m2 plus balcony 8m2. It is cleverly utilized and serves the purpose well. A wonderful balcony with a splendid view to the sea, the beach, the coast towards west, the Esterel mountains, the swimming pool and the palm tree garden. You can enjoy the afternoon sun and sunset from the balcony since it is facing south-west. The balcony fence is a transparent glass and steel frame architecture which allows you to sit on the balcony and watch down onto the activity around the pool. Apt. 504 at 5th floor:

Apt. 702 at 7th floor:
Identical with 610 except that the balcony is facing straight south which offers total privacy and a splendid panoramic view from east to west over the Cannes Bay and partly the swimming pool. The balcony fence is solid but one can still watch the sea and mountains whilst sitting down. On the plus side is a great view on some hills in the back land from the bed room window, superior to the view from the bed rooms of the other apartments. Furthermore the bed room is a bit larger. Some prefer this apartment since there is less disturbance from the pool area.

Practical:

The apartment is fully furnished.

Entertainment: There is access to a bar (summer time), a pool hall with piano, a terrasse.

Washing clothes: There is a coin wash (launderette) nearby the building. Ask at the front desk for direction.

Ventilation: A moveable fan/ventilator. Electricity covered by the Owner.

Heating: Electric heaters, one in each room. Electricity consumption is included in the rent.

Parking: An underground video supervised parking lot is available as an optional extra. See more under PRICES and PLENTY OF REASONS.

Cooking: It is kindly requested not to deep fry.

Telephone: No traditional telephone in the apartment. We recommend to bring a Triband or GSM 900 / 1800 cell phone for which there is coverage by Orange, Bouygtel etc. There's a pay phone in the underground level -1. You may consider to use Skype on a laptop.

TV: A colour TV with remote control is included in the rent. Channels: Most in French.

Luggage: You may free of charge have your empty suitcases deposited in the "Bagagerie" during your entire stay, please consult the front desk of the hotel in same building.

Bed linen/Towels: See conditions under "Prices".

Shops: Food etc.: Petit Casino, 8-8, bakery etc. in easy walking and carrying distance at Avenue Francis Tonner. Ask for directions at the counter. Beware of lunch break 12-15:00 and Sunday afternoon closing in most shops. Geant in Mandelieu is a great supermarket but you will need a car to enjoy that.

Pool: One is not allowed to walk to/from the apartment - elevator and the pool with bare feet through the reception. The pool is free of charge to use and one can sit on benches and use the sun beds around the pool free of charge. If consulted, please refer to your apartment number and "Nielsen". In the apartment you will find 4 x rubber bracelets that you need to wear by the pool, a step taken to prevent abuse by neighbours of the pool. Please leave the bracelets in the apartment or you will be cut in your deposit.

The pool is not heated but very child friendly due to a gradual deepening similar to a beach. Pool period is not on fixed dates but typically opened mid April and closes early October. Outside this period the sea is warmer.

Beach: The beach is sandy and public. No sun bed or umbrella rent out.

Night closing: The exterior double glass doors to the residence closes at night for security reasons at apx 21:30 hours. You shall receive a password by email 1 week before arrival allowing you to enter anytime.

Safety: Our apartments are equipped with a digital safe which we recommend you to use for storing of e.g. passports, credit cards, cameras etc while you are out. No extra charge for this convenience. You may modify the combination during your stay but upon your departure you should restore the combination to the one it had upon your arrival.

It is recommended to close the glass door to the balcony when you leave the apartment to prevent the theoretical risk of theft. Also always close and lock the window in the bedroom and use the curtains and don't leave valuables in sight since it has happened in some apartments in same building that a thief managed to get a telescope rod through the metal grid fence in front of the window and emptied a bag that was left visible on the bed.

Our apartments have been upgraded with a modern electricity cut-out in case of short circuit.

Complaints: In case of any reason for a justified complaint such must be notified to the Owner or the cleaning lady immediately upon arrival or the moment that such a reason should be experienced in case you expect this to justify a theoretical financial compensation. Not afterwards.

Please observe:

1) A railway line runs between the residence and the sea.

2) Smoking not allowed in the apartment but you can smoke on the balcony.

3) We regret that we cannot prevent dogs in the area since pets are allowed by some of the other apartment owners.

4) The freezer in the refrigerator is a "conservator" and it may develop a block of ice if the thermostat is not kept at 4. It is not suitable for long term freezing purposes.

5) Some clients find childrens' noise while playing in the pool during high season disturbing.

6) The sun bed area around the pool is closed during the period where the pool is closed. This is a new regulation due to a new French safety law of protecting children from falling into the pool. So the whole pool perimeter including sun bed area has been closed behind a transparent fence.

7) For sensitive guests it should be mentioned that elevators - when in use - can be heard from the bedroom in apts. 610 and 608 if you are sleeping with open windows.
