We have just returned from Cannes and from our perspective everything worked
smoothly. We did enjoy the view a great deal and in fact had every meal on
the balcony.
We found we did not need to use the fan as there was adequate ventilation
and we were out all day anyways.
We enjoyed visiting the bakery just north of the apartment and found all
services such as groceries and restaurants to be very convenient. We
frequently walked to and from Cannes(it took us about 25 minutes to the
heart of the harbour) [remark from Owner: it takes in average apx. 35 min] and
found it to be a most pleasant walk by the sea. We
tended to swim between the big rock outcroppings as they were scenic and the
beach there was quite wide . We were impressed with the good sand and
excellent water.
The pleasure was ours in being able to stay in your apartment. Feel free to
use any of our comments that would be useful. Best wishes for a good year
and if another trip to France is ever in our plans it will be comforting to
know that we have contact with such a trustworthy and helpful person as
yourself to contact regarding future accomodation.

It was a great pleasure staying in your apartment. I would definitely
like to stay there again next time.

Contrary to my concern about the commutation to Palais des Festival, it
was very convenient as MIPTV shuttle passed by the bus stop near from
the apartment building every 30 minutes and I could also take buses to
right in front of Palais. Fortunately, it was the area I used to stay
during the festival, where big residence hotels are located, so
everything was familiar to me. I think it is not necessary to mention
about the view, but it was just fantastic!

Die Wohnung ist zweckmässig und gut für den Winter eingerichtet. Hatten keine Probleme alles klappte super gut. Auch die Sicherheit im Palazzo ist ausgezeichnet und wird durch Sicherheitspersonal gut kontrolliert. Wir werden sicher im Herbst oder im kommenden Winter wieder nach Cannes reisen.

Hei igjen!
Vi er veldig godt fornøyd med oppholdet vårt. Vi tok som du vet en taxi fra flyplassen i Nice til hotellet den første ettermiddagen da det regnet da vi kom (betalte 80 Euro som vi avtalte på forhånd). Men et annet alternativ i stedenfor taxi er jo buss til Cannes og evt. ny buss til Cannes La Bocca evt. tog. Det å fortsette med buss videre er nok det greieste der og da og den bruker ikke mer enn ca. 10 min fra Cannes til holdeplassen nær hotellet.

Leiligheten var lys og fin og med en kjempeutsikt og sol fra "tidlig" morgen ca 0930 til ca. 1730 om kvelden. Mange gode frokoster (morgenmat) der. Leiligheten var også bra utstyrt så vi brukte oppvaskmaskinen bare 2 g. Fint med TV også da, men "savnet" kanskje en engelstalende nyhetskanal (men Frankrike har vel ikke det som vane og dessuten var det kanskje greit å ikke høre om den dårlige økonomiske situasjonen i verden....).

Lørdag 27.9. var vi på markedet i Cannes La Bocca som stengte ca kl. 1300 + et lite annet "loppemarked" ved stranden, morsomt. Om ettermiddagen gikk vi langs strandpromenaden inn til Cannes ("rask" gange ca 25 min). Det var så koselig å gå den turen så bilder ble det tatt mange av. Inne i Cannes var det nok å se på, alt fra Filmfestivalpalasset og flotte forretninger + et glass vin med mer på en av fortausresturantene. Og på hjemveien spiste vi middag langs strandpromenaden. Vi var også inne i Cannes senere i uken for bading og shopping + kos og da tok vi bussen som var veldig grei å bruke.

En dag tok vi også toget til Nice, og toget tok vi fra Le Bosquet en togstasjon som ligger ca. 5-10 min å gå fra stasjonen Cannes La Bocca (toget går oftere derfra). Nice er det jo mye fint å se og oppleve.
En annen dag tok vi toget (også fra Le Bosquet) til Italia, gikk der (endestasjonen på denne togruten) en liten stund, men syntes det var mer spennende i Monacco/Monte Carlo hvor vi ble resten av dagen. Vi har også gått langs strandpromenaden i motsatt retning av Cannes og kom La Napoule/Mandelieu, men var innom Casinoet der for å titte litt. Videre derfra kunne vi reist til St. Raphael, men da vi brukte bena her var ikke dette aktuelt.  Er forresten litt usikker på om det går an å ta tog til St. Tropes?  men det kan vi evt sjekke ut neste gang :-)

Vi badet og koste oss også på stranden nedenfor hotellet og litt videre bortover mot Cannes. Vi handlet mat med mer i småbutikkene rundt hotellet og spiste noen middager på African Queen (det var der det var flest folk nå så sent på sesongen). Maten var og god og vi fikk den 6 middagen gratis (dvs. da hadde vi spist der der to ganger tidligere dvs. 4 middager).

Etter regnværet den første fredagen ble det bare kjempefint vær med gode badetemperaturer og ca. 23-24 + hele uken og det har gitt oss en frisk brunfarge.
Vi benyttet ikke svømmebassenget ved bostedet, men det var mulig til tross for litt sent på sesongen, men få gjester der, et vakkert sted, restauranten var ikke oppe der, men det gjorde ikke noe.
Det er forresten ikke bare barna som syntes det er gøy med passerende tog, også min mann syntes det.....!

Ellers gikk det også veldig greit med nattnøkkel etter kl. 21.30 og selv om fransken vår ikke er noe å skryte av så gikk det også bra med å snakke engelsk (ikke så veldig gode her heller), men franskmenn er hyggelige, elegante og høflige (i alle fall de fleste).

Vi håper virkelig at vi kommer tilbake hit, for det frister virkelig, så med dette vil vi si takk for oss denne gangen og for et kjempehyggelig opphold - sentralt til det meste.

Hello. We are very satisfied with our stay. We took a taxi from Nice airport to the hotel since it rained when we arrived (we paid 80 Euro that was agreed in advance). But an alternative is bus to Cannes and then perhaps another bus to Cannes La Bocca or train. It's probably more comfortable to continue by bus since it takes only 10 minutes from Cannes to the stop near the residence.

The apartment was light and fine and with a great view and sun from "early" morning apx. 09:30 till apx. 5:30 PM. Many good breakfasts were eaten there. The apartment was also well equipped so we used only the dishwasher twice. Fine with TV too but we "missed" probably an english news channel (but France does probably not have a habit of this and besides it was probably a relief not to hear about the bad economic situation in the world today....).

Saturday 27.9. we were on the market in Cannes La Bocca that closed at apx 1:00 PM + a small "flea market" by the beach, fun. In the afternoon we walked along the beach promenade to Cannes ("quick" walk apx. 25 min). It was so cosy to walk that walk so lots of photos were taken. Inside Cannes there was enough to see, everything from the Film festival palace and exquisite shops + a glass of wine and more at one of the sidewalk restaurants. And on our way home we dined somewhere along the beach promenade. We also went into Cannes later during the week for swimming and shopping + cosyness and there we took the bus that was very comfortable to use.

One day we took the train to Nice and we took the train from Le Bosquet, a train station located apx. 5-10 min walk from Cannes La Bocca (the train departs more often from there). Nice is very interesting to experience.
Another day we took the train (again from Le Bosquet) to Italy, walked there (the end station of this train route) for a while but we found it more exciting in Monaco/Monte Carlo where we stayed for the rest of the day. We also walked along the beach promenade in the opposite direction away from Cannes and came to La Napoule/Mandelieu and went inside the Casino there for a look. We could have continued from there to St. Raphael but since we were on our legs this was not relevant.

We swam and had a cosy time at the beach in front of the residence and a little further direction Cannes. We shopped for food etc in the small shops around the residence and had some dinners at African Queen (the place with most guests this late in the season). The food was good and we had the 6th dinner for free (i.e. by then we had eaten there twice already = 4 dinners).

After the first rainy Friday the weather was just great with nice swimming temperatures and apx. 23-24 degrees Celcius + all week and it has given us a fresh brown taint.
We did not make use of the pool by the residence although it was possible despite it being late in the season but there were a few guests there, a beautiful spot, the restaurant was not open there but that did not matter.
By the way, it's not only children who find the passing trains interesting, also my husband did so.....!

Besides it went fine with the night key after 9.30 PM and although our French language abilities are not worth bragging about it worked fine, also speaking English (we are not so good at this either) but the French people are kind, elegant and polite (at least most of them).

We really hope that we can return there because it's really tempting, so with this we wish to say thank you for this time and for a really great stay - located centrally for most.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Cannes, we enjoyed the use of the pool
and also took time to visit Nice, Monte Carlo, San Tropez and even
Sanremo in Italy. The underground car park was excellent and the
situation of the apartments is ideal. I'm glad I choose Apt 702, it has
an excellent view and was very private.

Tak for leje af lejligheden, det var en kanon tur vi havde. Alt ved lejligheden var ok og man kan godt være 5 personer i den, ( ok lidt trang ) men det gik nu fint. Og udsigten kan man ikke klage over den fås vist ikke bedre. Toget vænner man sig til og er ikke noget problem.

Alles hat wunderbar geklappt, mit dem Appartement war Ich rundum zufrieden. Die Lage ist ausgesprochen ideal, alle dienstleistungsbetriebe des täglichen lebens befinden sich in nächster
nähe. Die aussicht vom Balkon ist wunderschön -hätte nicht besser sein können!
die Hotelanlage, in welcher sich das Appartement befindet ist sehr ruhig und sauber, auch das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich habe einen tollen aufenthalt an der Cote d'Azur verbracht, der mir unter anderem dank Ihrer gemütlichen Unterkunft immer in erinnerung bleiben wird!

Wenn man ohne eigenes Auto unterwegs ist, empfehle Ich, sich ein regionales Busticket zu besorgen. Es ist sowohl zweckmäßig als auch günstig und gilt für den großraum Cannes bis Mandelieu-la Napoule. Die Einstiegsstellen befinden sich in unmittelbarer nähe zum Appartement. Diese Haltestellen werden von 3 Buslinien angefahren, d.h. Ich habe nie länger als 10 Minuten auf einen Bus gewartet.
In cannes sollte man einmal einen spaziergang (ist auch mit dem Auto möglich) zum Croix des Gardes unternehmen. Das ist ein wunderschöner Aussichtspunkt mit sensationellem Blick auf die Bucht und das Esterel-Gebirge. Die ganze Hügelkette ist übersät mit Mimosenbäumen, die sich im spätwinter von ihrer schönsten seite zeigen. Ein erlebnis für alle Sinne!

We had a very enjoyable holiday in Cannes. My 9 year old daughter has already said she wants to go back for a month next year! Yes, we really enjoyed our stay - it was wonderful. The apart was great, very compact etc. We had no problem with the heat because we would open the
windows at both ends to get a through breeze and also we had the fan. The swimming pools
were great and the food was fine in the pool bar where the staff were particulary nice. The fact of
the balcony being closed in was no problem at all, and we enjoyed watching the trains go by.
The view of course was beautiful.
The other great advantage was the parking, being able to come back late and know we would
have a space and also keeping the car cool. And no horrible mosquitos either that was great.
The only one problem we had was deciding whether to go to the pool or the beach each day!

Dear David,
We arrived back in Colorado last night. We had a perfect trip but of course it is always
good to be home. Our stay in France was unbelievable. We had a wonderful time. It only
took us a day to find all of the stores that we needed for everything. We really enjoyed the
community all around the apartment building and getting to know all the people.

The apartment was just right. It was just what we needed. Very comfortable and
cozy. We spent a lot of time there just being together, talking, reading and
sitting out on the balcony. I cooked almost all our meals there in that tiny
kitchen and really enjoyed it. We enjoyed the market and shopping for what
food items we needed. We did have dinner out the last night we were there, at the
Luna and it was a delicious meal. We really enjoyed that.

As far as the train, we were so used to it by the second day that we didn't
notice it. It was not too noisy and it goes by so fast that it's gone before
you know it's coming.

So all in all, David, we want to thank you for everything. It was a dream come
true for both of us. You were very helpful and thorough in everything and it
made it very easy for us. Who knows? Perhaps we will be able to make this trip again
in the future.
